Why pinning isn't downloading
Saving a Pinterest video only adds it to one of your boards — the clip still lives on Pinterest and vanishes if the creator removes it. That's no good when you want a recipe demo, a workout, a DIY tutorial or a moodboard clip available offline or inside a video editor. A downloader fetches the underlying MP4 so the Pin becomes a file you actually keep.
Step by step: save a Pinterest video
1) Open the Pin, tap the share arrow and choose Copy link (or copy the URL from your browser's address bar). 2) Paste that link into the downloader below. 3) Choose MP4 and download. It resolves the best available quality and saves the video straight to your phone or computer — no app, no Pinterest login, no watermark added.
Idea Pins, stories and audio
Multi-page idea Pins (Pinterest's story format) may hold several clips; open the specific page you want and copy its link for the cleanest result. If a Pin is only a still image, use an image downloader instead of the video option. When it's the background sound you're after, convert the Pin to MP3 rather than saving the whole video.
Reuse it fairly
Downloading works for public Pins; secret boards and content you don't have permission to reuse are off-limits. Only download videos you have the right to reuse, credit the creator when you repost, and respect Pinterest's terms of service.
