Why Facebook makes it awkward
Facebook only lets you save some videos, and only inside the app where you can't easily reuse them. For Reels and Watch clips there's often no download option at all. Pulling the video as a standard MP4 lets you keep it, re-edit it, or repost it wherever you like.
Step by step: save a Facebook video
1) Open the video on Facebook, tap the three-dot menu or Share, and choose Copy link. 2) Paste that link into the downloader below. 3) Choose MP4 and download. It resolves the best available quality and saves straight to your phone or computer — no login, no app.
What you can and can't save
This works for public videos, Reels and Watch clips. Private videos and content you don't have permission to reuse are off-limits — always respect the creator's rights and Facebook's terms of service.
